About Just Kiddin' Theatre
Just Kiddin' Theatre was formerly run through the parent council
of Metcalfe Public School. In November 2006 the program
expanded to become a community-based program and changed its
name to Just Kiddin' Theatre.
Our Goals
The primary goals of our
program are to introduce and expand students' knowledge of
theatre while at the same time build personal confidence and
develop teamwork. New friendships are just a bonus! We
achieve these objectives by creating a trusting, accepting,
and safe environment that faithfully upholds the program's
code of conduct .
Volunteer Support
Our program is run entirely by volunteers. Many have had no experience in theatre but have come
to support the kids and learn a new craft in the process. Some volunteers work full-time but make a little time in
the evenings with specific off-line tasks while other parents participate in the workshops and production process
in a variety of capacities. If you think you can lend a hand please let us know - your
help will ensure this remains a sustainable
program!
